  1. Everyone, this is “it”, shuld the Tony Jones [Libertarian] candidate for Lt. Governor of Rhode Island become a reality.

Rhode Island is probably the smallest state in the USA and therefore an excellent launching pad for our unity in 2014. And Tony is not only a reliable and charismatic candidate, but he favors coalition building as his talk show on “Coalition Radio” indicates.

Please do everything possible to support this guy, pull out all stops and go all the way Tony!

  2. This report is not totally accurate. Our first LPRI candidate for statewide office ran for Governor of Rhode Island in either the late Seventies, or early Eighties. I unfortunately am not able to be more specific, because that campaign predates my own involvement with the LPRI. While we have had LPRI candidates for federal, state, and local offices since then, we unfortunately have not had any other LPRI candidate for statewide office in Rhode Island until now.

    Michael J. Rollins, Chairman
    Libertarian Party of Rhode Island

  3. Rhode Island in the past elected its Governor every two years. The only Libertarian who ever ran for Governor of Rhode Island ran in a presidential year, 1976. So the story is accurate.
